We may be done with weekly marketing, but things are still clickin around here! I have had steady special orders and I am thrilled about it. I can deliver locally right up to the holiday since we are going to be in town and have no special plans.
Keith has been able to really dedicate some time to the building project. The electrical inspector is scheduled for Monday, so that will be a huge step. Keith has also been hanging drywall, so we are really getting close. The goal is to have it finished in Jan--I hope nothing major prevents that, I am really ready to get in there and begin working on the gluten free line of products.
I will also spend my off season working on some of the other business, like streamlining my labeling system, planning the display for next season, and closing out the years sales. April will be here before I know it and I have a lot to do!
I finally discovered an unusual use for jams. Many have suggested the Strawberry Zinger or the Blue Hula as a marinade, and I do foresee a crock pot tenderloin in the near future trying this very idea. However, last night was meatloaf night and I found myself out of grape jelly. I had a sample jar of blackberry left over from a show I did, and so I added that to the meatloaf in place of the grape jelly. Wow!!! Keith hopes I never go back to the grape, because this is so much better.
I hope your holiday season is blessed indeed!
